The basement has two rooms in it. In the first room, there is a pizza oven. Beside the pizza oven, there is a refrigerator that never runs out of dough/pizza toppings with an endless container of hummus in it as well as an endless bag of pita chips. In a closet, there are games all lined up, puzzles, fun activities. On one wall, there are pictures of Chicago and a couple of Mystic Falls. There is a picture of Jeremy, Sarah, Elena, Wes, Martha, and Thor together. There are pictures of prom night, of holidays. There is a picture of his parents there too as well as John Gilbert and different times in Mystic Falls which were good. The pictures line the wall, and above the pictures are the words, forever engraved: As long as I can, I will look at this world for both of us. As long as I can, I will laugh with the birds, I will sing with the flowers, I will pray to the stars, for both of us.

There's a table on the right side of this room with chairs on it. It's clear that they're there for eating, for having games.

In the second room, it's a training room with space to practice fighting. There's a weapon rack on one wall. Each weapon had been clearly made for him. They have his initials in them. They are not not his father's weapons. They are not weapons with history They are weapons for him to choose who to be, what to do with them. In the corner, there is a trunk with polaroid cameras in it and a corkboard leaning against the trunk. On top of the trunk, it says, Make new memories on top of it.

On the opposite wall on the way in, there's a wall with writing on it. The writing is magical. It changes based on whoever is looking at it. Whatever the person who is looking at it needs to read most at the time, it's the words which will come up along that wall.

When Jeremy enters into the room for the first time, the following words will be written up on the wall: There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.
